Gail Davis, the $10,000 winner, picked up the phone and listened to someone offering her a prize and without thinking she replied by "Thank you very much!..I'm not interested"..thinking it was a Prank!!!!

Gail Davis from Orpington, UK, had the call, which was from Eddy Cue (Apple's VP of iTunes), and she simply hung up not believing it was a real call from Apple. Davis was brought to her senses by her daughters, 14 and 17 years old, who had downloaded several apps in the morning. One of the apps, the free Paper Glider App, which was the magic 10 billionth app.

Davis knew from the girls it wasn't a prank and she did freak out!

So she tried calling Apple back but the person on the company's help-desk wasn't really helpful!!

She was mired in shame as she told the Cult of Mac "The more I thought about it, the more I realized it was a genuine call...The girls were getting quite tense. They never would have forgiven me. They would have held it against me for all eternity."

But after few hours, her eternity was made sweeter when she received another call from Apple, it was one of Cue's colleagues.

Now her daughters are planning which apps to download with the $10,000 iTunes gift card!
