Will iPhone 5 have a four inch screen?

Digitimes is reporting that the newly coming iPhone will have a four inch screen to better compete with Google Android.

This picture shows the Samsung Galaxy(4 inch) at the left and the iPhone 4 (3.5 inch) at the right.

The component suppliers noted that the production lines for Apple's next generation iPhone have begun testing, and Apple interesting in expanding the screen size to 4inches to support the tablet PC market as the vendor has a 9.7inch iPad in the market.

This news could be right, though there are many talks about the smaller iPhone. In addition, the iPhone always had a 3.5inch screen while many Android phones had larger screens.

The easiness of switching to Verizon iPhone and backing up your stuff!! (Video)

Are you making the 'BIG SWITCH'!
Are you leaving AT&T, or moving from BlackBerry or Droid?!
Then you'll surely need to move your data or maybe look for ways to keep some of the functions you were used to!

The iPhone is surely popular and famous for its tranquility in its usage!
Though it can be stressful to leave a network and device you were comfortable with and get something new.
And thats the main thing we will talk about!

If you were an AT&T user and switching to Verizon, that will be an easy thing!
You will just need an iTunes back up.

However, if you're switching from BlackBerry or Droid, that will be bit longer!
Services like Gmail can help you get your contacts over(and provide push email, contacts and calendars.) and Apple apps like KIK and WAZE, and others as BBM and Google Navigation.

Android 2.3 Gingerbread Ported to iPhone 3G [Video]

After just a couple more weeks of work, hackers could made tremendous progress and brought the recently released Android 2.3 Gingerbread to the iPhone 3G.

iPhone 3G is the first device on which Android 2.3 has been installed successfully using the same OpeniBoot software in previous ports. In case you don't know, OpeniBoot is an open source software based on iBoot that allows jailbreakers to insert their own code such as Linux kernel into iPhone and iPod touch.

Here's a quick video demo showing Android 2.3 Gingerbread running on iPhone 3G in action:

VLC Media Player Coming to Android in Weeks !

The extremely popular VLC Media Player is now coming to Android! VLC Media Player is an open source program that has almost every codec built in so that no other codec pack will be needed to play other media formats. VLC Media Player is famously used because even if your media file is damaged, you can still play what is detected.

VLC Media Player has already been brought to the iPad on September 20, 2010 and was later brought to the iPhone and iPod a month later. The main issue about releasing VLC for Android was becuase Google's NDK only allowed it to be in Java coding. Now that Google has changed its NDK, developers can now use their original coding to develop Android apps. With most VLC Libraries already ported to Android, there is still a problem of how the app will word on the Android. How will the user interact with it? Where will everything be placed? Will it be similar to the iOS app of VLC? Stay tuned and find out! [The Next Web]
