It seems strange as Apple couldn't release a white iPhone 4!

iPhone 4 jailbroken to run on China Telecom Network.
Employees of Chinese carrier China Telecom have successfully jailbroken and unblocked the CDMA iPhone 4, letting the device work on the company's network!
Employees of the Guangdong branch of China Telecom teased users this week with a post on its microblog saying they were working on a way to crack Verizon Wireless' CDMA iPhone, suggesting users might be able to use the device on China Telecom's network.
A post signed the "Apple Lab Team" on the Sina Weibo account identified as belonging to the Guangdong branch of China Telecom said Tuesday the "CDMA iPhone 4 has made its first call in China" without a hitch.
Preceding posts included a photo of a Verizon Wireless iPhone beside a tag labeled China Telecom Guangdong, then a photo of the device displaying the home screen for Cydia, a software application that allows users to find the applications and software packages for jailbroken Apple devices.
Reported the Wall Street Journal.
China Telecom had talks with Apple to offer the CDMA iPhone 4 and a new report, where Brian White says there will be a deal coming sometime this year.
The key takeaway is that the relationship between Apple and China Telecom is clearly moving in the right direction, and we believe that a deal will eventually be announced this year.
China Telecom has now 90.5 million subscribers, which is slightly behind Verizon and AT&T in terms of total subscriber base.
1000 bonus rollover minutes!!
Sunday, February 13, 2011
If you were truly loyal and didn't change to Verizon iPhone, then you'll be rewarded with 1000 bonus rollover minutes.
"Chitika" has announced yesterday that it has put a live tracker showing the relative balance of AT&T and Verizon iPhones showing up on the company's advertising network. This data is updated hourly and it's showing how AT&T is just way more than the Verizon!
Some may get a message of the offer but in case you didn't, just send the word yes to 11113020 and you'll get a reply verifying the bonus!
EVEN Verizon iPhone 4 has Antenna Issues!! (Video)
Wednesday, February 9, 2011
We wondered earlier, in the differences between AT&T and Verizon, whether the Verizon iPhone will be having an Antenna problem!!!
Well, iLounge has discovered that it does suffer form the same antenna problem found in the iPhone 4 launched in June 2010.
Though the antenna was redesigned, but that didn't solve the antenna-gate issue!
When the Verizon iPhone was held in landscape orientation with two hands the problem with Wi-Fi reception appeared, this was referred to as Death Hug!
So the Death Hug in iPhone will affect both Wi-Fi and cellular signals.
So in order to fix this issue, again we should use a protective case.

iPad 2 in Production!!
The next version of the iPad is now in production. They cite people familiar with the matter!!
"The new device will be thinner, lighter and will come with a faster processor, more memory and a more powerful graphics processor, said the people familiar with the matter. It will have a front-facing camera for the first time for features like video-conferencing, but the resolution of the new iPad's display will be similar to the first iPad, they said"
The new iPad will be available through both Verizon and AT&T but not Sprint or T-Mobile, according to the Wall Street Journal!

Are you making the 'BIG SWITCH'!
Are you leaving AT&T, or moving from BlackBerry or Droid?!
Then you'll surely need to move your data or maybe look for ways to keep some of the functions you were used to!
The iPhone is surely popular and famous for its tranquility in its usage!
Though it can be stressful to leave a network and device you were comfortable with and get something new.
And thats the main thing we will talk about!
If you were an AT&T user and switching to Verizon, that will be an easy thing!
You will just need an iTunes back up.
However, if you're switching from BlackBerry or Droid, that will be bit longer!
Services like Gmail can help you get your contacts over(and provide push email, contacts and calendars.) and Apple apps like KIK and WAZE, and others as BBM and Google Navigation.

Enabling GROUP text messaging!
Ever wondered how to send a text message to several people and have their replies reach the whole group?!
This feature is known as "group messaging", where this setting controls whether or not the complete address list is sent to everyone in the group.
Enabling this feature is simple.
- Launch Settings
- Tap Messages
- Toggle "Group Messaging" to ON
When the group messaging is OFF in your device, each recipient will be unaware that anyone else received the same message. Though, if you have it ON but your recipient doesn't, then that recipient will not see the group list!
If you and the recipients have the group messaging enabled, then all the recipients will be displayed. And when any person replies, it will be sent to all members of the group.
All messages will be included in a single thread and the sender's names will be displayed above each other. (As shown below!)
If the the Group Messaging is enabled, the messages sent to the group will be billed as a single message!
Have fun Group Messaging!
P.S: Most probably this feature appears only at AT&T!
As it doesn't appear in Vodafone's AUS, nor O2's UK! (And maybe some other networks!)
Wondering!!..Will Verizon iPhone do it?!

A video, uploaded at youtube, shows a user claiming to have gotten his Verizon iPhone from the UPS box center.
Many customers are still expecting it by Monday 7th!
And the new customers have to wait till the 9th for the online order and 10th for in-store purchasing!
AT&T targeting the Verizon iPhone!! (Video)
Saturday, February 5, 2011
"ANSWER"
This is the first AT&T iPhone ad targeting the Verizon's iPhone.
It simply shows a man doing a search to find a "dining" while he's on phone with his wife.
It ends with "Only AT&T's network lets your iPhone talk and surf at the same time".
Voice and data is a main difference between both networks, AT&T's GSM and Verizon's CDMA.
On Verizon, 3G data service is not usable while you are on a voice call, though of course, local Wi-Fi networking would still work.

Verizon Ad targeting AT&T's reception.(Video) AT&T giving out free microcells!
Friday, February 4, 2011
Verizon has started airing a new iPhone ad that seems to specifically target AT&T's reputation for poor voice quality.
It's beautiful. It's intelligent. Even genius. But does your network work? ... ring ... "Yes, I can hear you now." This is America's largest and most reliable network. Built so you can rule the air."
Early reviews seem to agree that Verizon's reception is better than AT&T's for voice calls.
Meanwhile, we've heard that AT&T has started offering some customers freeMicrocell devices that boost cell phone signals at your house. Several readers have noted that they had received email offers from AT&T for free microcells. It's not clear how widespread the practice is, or the selection criteria.

Verizon iPhone reviews!!
Better Reception...Slower Data
Before the launch of the Verizon iPhone, the embargo for early review units has been lifted. This early set of reviews provides a look at the early verdict on the Verizon iPhone. Reviews and some highlights are listed here.
Macworld
- "With a few minor variations, it looks, feels, and works just like the AT&T iPhone 4"
- iOS 4.2.6
- Good distance on mobile Hotspot
- "if you're using the Internet and your phone rings, your Internet connection immediately drops"
TechCrunch
- "This Verizon version of the iPhone 4 seems to have none of the same antenna issues [as the AT&T model]
- Much better with signal / lack of dropped calls than the AT&T model (in San Francisco)
- "the iPhone 4 can give you a solid 4 hours of hotspot/tethering time"
All Things D
- "the Verizon model did much, much better with voice calls"
- "AT&T's network averaged 46% faster at download speeds and 24% faster at upload speeds."
Engadget
- "Calls were consistently connected and uninterrupted, far more often than our AT&T calls in the same time period in similar locations."
- "data rates on the Verizon iPhone 4 we tested were dramatically slower than those on its AT&T counterpart."
Overall, there seem to be few surprises. Lack of simultaneous voice and data has been known and those in weak AT&T are having much better luck with Verizon, but data speeds are better on AT&T.

Verizon people..BACK UP your contacts!!

VZ Transfer APP will restore you contacts to your new Verizon iPhone!!
Verizon Wireless has released VZ Transfer into the App Store, allowing Verizon iPhone users to restore contact information from Verizon’s Backup Assistant service to their newly purchased iPhone 4.
Verizon Backup Assistant is a service that lets users backup their contact information from their phone to the cloud, which includes import/export options with online editing abilities. Users who have used this service on previous devices would be able to download VZ Transfer and restore contact information to the iPhone.
Transferring contacts can often be a pain, so it’s good to see Verizon putting out something that will make it a little easier for Verizon iPhone users to get their device up and running with all of their contacts in place.

The Seven Types of iPhone owners!!
Sunday, January 30, 2011

THE FANBOY
The Fanboy is excited about every Apple. He owns every previous version of the iPhone, and frequently posts on Mac rumor forms. He proudly wears an Apple t-shirt, bought off ebay from disgruntled former Genius Bar technician, so often you suspect he's not laundering in order to prevent it from fading.
The Fanboy blames any and all problems on AT&T, and is fully prepared to scapegoat Verizon as well.

The Unappreciative has never bought an app, doesn't use a case, and complains about how big the phone is. She misses her Motorola Razr.
THE OVERUSER
Unlike the Unappreciative, The Overuser uses his iPhone to the full extent he can. In fact, he's ALWAYS on it, to the degree that it's difficult to hold a conversation. He dropped $50 on a bulky, toilet-proof case, and downloads apps out of sheer boredom.
He dressed us as Angry Bids for Halloween.
THE DESKJOB
THE HACKER
The Hacker can't be constrained by things like "Terms of Service" or "The FCC". She jailbroke her iPhone the day she got it, and uses it to do things like remote start her car and turn her neighbors' TV on and off from across the street.
She's long since cut off AT&T and makes free calls from Skype via WiFi instead of using a phone plan. She tries to convince the Fanboy to also jailbreak so he can tether his laptop, but he's too scared to do it!
No one's really sure how this guy ended up with an iPhone. He has told to hold it really far
away from his face to use it, and types at 1WPM. You wonder why this guy has a cell phone in the first place, and especially cringe when you hear the default iPhone ring tone play ceaselessly from his jacket pocket while he tinkers with his hearing aid.
THE COMPLAINER!
This guy does nothing but whine about the iPhone from the touch keyboard to censorship, to Steve Job's sweaters.
He tells people he's getting an Android as soon as his contract is up, and gets mad when he sees the Senior Citizen using it incorrectly.
He's probably going to get the next iPhone anyway!!
