A new tweak is to be released in Cydia soon. It will give more power to your Voice Control by opening apps, launch URLs and perform any activator action, like taking a screenshot!!





VoiceActivator will have a settings panel where you can create the voice shortcuts and have them recognized by iOS' built-in support for voice command.
Let's say you want to open MacStories in a new Safari page, assign "macstories" to a new action in VoiceActivator. Then speak it and Safari will launch..JUST LIKE THAT!
Kind of fancy to show off to your friends!

Redsn0w 0.9.7 for Windows Will Untether iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak with iOS 4.1 Firmware. Expected to Release Soon!!


The iPhone Dev Team has confirmed that a Windows Version of Redsn0w 0.9.7 is on its way for jailbreaking iOS 4.2.1 with iOS 4.1 IPSW instead of iOS 4.2b3 firmware and SHSH blobs.





Since Apple still serves the 4. IPSW (not blobs!) , we'll do a windows redsn0w release for untethered 4.2.1 via Monte -4.1

Unfortunately, it wouldn't be really fast as the Windows version of Redsn0w will be using filesystem instead of RAM.



VERIZON customers..you can start ordering the iPhone 4!!

Verizon sent emails to its existing customers and updated its iPhone info page confirming that current Verizon customers will be able to order the iPhone, a week before the general public, at 3AM Eastern Time on third of Feb.






Existing Verizon Wireless customers will have an exclusive online purchase opportunity before iPhone 4 is available to everyone else. Order iPhone 4 from our reserved quantity on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 3 AM Eastern.



The email indicated that the pre-sale inventory is limited, and its allowing some existing AT&T iPhone customers to trade-in their phone for credit when buying the new Verizon iPhone.
The trade-in price list is:
  • iPhone 2G-16GB, $60
  • iPhone 3G-16GB, $105
  • iPhone 3Gs 32GB, $160
  • iPhone 4-16GB, $280
  • iPhone 4-32GB, $360
